What are the supervision requirements? (BBS ASW)

ASWs are required to obtain 1 hour of individual supervision or 2 hours of group supervision during any week in which experience is claimed.  In weeks with more than 10 hours of direct psychotherapy an additional unit of supervision must be logged (1 hour of individual or 2 hours of group supervision).

In addition, the following requirements must be met:

  • Minimum of 52 weeks of individual supervision
  • Minimum of 13 weeks of individual supervision by an LCSW
  • Minimum of 104 weeks of supervision (combined individual and/or group

TrackYourHours monitors all of the supervision requirements.  In a given week if you fail to meet the supervision requirement you will receive an alert.  In addition, on your Dashboard page you can view the number of weeks of individual supervision, weeks of supervision and weeks supervised by an LCSW.

The BBS does NOT allow you to claim your supervision hours toward the 3,200 hour requirement of experience.  Only experience hours count toward this requirement.
