Historically the BBS has limited the number of supervision hours that can be claimed in a week to 5. This limit is applied to the sum of all supervision hours logged across all sites in a given week. The recent passage of Senate Bill 1012 increases the limit from 5 to 6 hours for MFT Trainees and Interns and LPCC Interns. This change is retroactive back to January 1, 2009.
TYH produces an alert if you exceed the maximum supervision hours that can be claimed in a week. As a result of the passage of SB 1012 the TYH software has been updated so that the alert is triggered if you log more than 6 (not 5) hours of supervision in a week. If you had alerts that were triggered as a result of 6 hours of supervision being logged in a week these alerts disappeared when this update went live.
This update does NOT change the hours reported on your forms or your valid total in TYH.
Example of New Alert:
Week of January 5, 2015: More than 6 hours of supervision logged in a week.
Hours have not been subtracted from your valid total. You logged 7 hours of supervision and the BBS allows a maximum of 6 supervision hours to be claimed per week. If your hours are audited the supervision hours above 6 will not count. You should review this week to determine how many hours you cannot claim. Do NOT delete the supervision hours.
